EcoSheek Donates 1% of Turnover to Environmental Campaigns

1% For The Planet is an alliance of businesses committed to leveraging their resources to create a healthier planet.  The initiative was launched in 2001 by Yvon Chouinard, environmental activist and founder of outdoor clothing company Patagonia, Inc., and Craig Mathews, owner of Blue Ribbon Flies

Members donate at least 1% of their annual sales to environmental organizations worldwide. To date, 1% For The Planet have donated over $19 million to environmental causes. Chouinard calls this an "earth tax," recognizing that his company has a responsibility to conserve and protect the natural resources it utilizes to make and market its products

Carbon Offset Policy

We are working to make our company completely carbon Neutral.  We calculate the annual carbon footprint of the EcoSheek Bag Company and offsett that by planting protected broadleaf woodland trees.
We use shipping rather than airfreight wherever possible because of the lower carbon footprint.  However this has a lead time of several weeks and shipping volumes of less that 1,000 pieces by sea would actually cost more than shipping by air.  We offset the carbon emissions resulting from airfreight by planting more trees
